Biography (english)

David Suivez (Zurich, Switzerland) studied photography and media arts (BA) at the Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK. As an experienced DJ and musician, professional yoga teacher and double virgin, he is a personality who stands for holistic and stylish concepts with precision and lifestyle awareness with spot-on implementation, especially for a young audience.

His research focuses on the relationship between movement as a meaning-making process, physical presence and playful elements. The aim is to develop a method on the borders of physicality that combines analysis and intuition, opening the dialogue between play vs. struggle, collaboration vs. confrontation.

Since 2016, he has curated the renowned Movement Masterclass at Tanzhaus Zürich, a multidimensional vessel that invites international teachers to workshops exploring movement forms and connecting the worlds of dance, body therapy and martial arts on a principled level. Among others, Fighting Monkey and Nik Bärtsch have already been recruited.

Inspired by Youth Culture and Stoicism, the Swiss with Indonesian-Chinese roots studied, among other things, various yoga styles at the Yoga Barn Ubud, the basics of Craniosacral Therapy, Thai Massage with Krishnataki at Sunshine House and Play Fight with Bruno Caverna - the basis for his global teacher network.
